OVERVIEW: This is a compelling story about one of our greatest Americans, and should be one of particular interest to the public. “Yellow journalism” and greed mounted an attack against Mrs. Eddy, then in her mid-eighties, to deprive her of the Leadership of her Church (our Church), and remove all control of her possessions and indeed her personal freedom. This is a story of powerful men attacking a powerful woman in an age of male dominance, a story of good over evil. We know that the attack was defeated. It sealed her position as Discoverer, Founder and Leader of the Christian Science Church, and the Movement we all love. This is the story of a malicious attack, and a great Victory!
