Description: Was the Christian concept of Father, Son and Holy Ghost derived from the Bible? How did it evolve in the first centuries of Christianity, and why did it become so important? What spiritual reality were the early Church fathers trying to describe? What did they mean by "person"? How were the three terms, Life, Truth and Love in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy parallel to the Trinity? How did they differ? If a branch bears fruit only by abiding in the vine, every branch of Christianity must abide in the vine of Christ. How is Christian Science rooted in the vine of classic Christian thought on this subject, and in what ways is it a branch bearing the distinctive fruit of spiritual healing? Please join us as we delve into Christian history to illumine and enrich uplifted faith today.

Your speaker:

Galen Goldsmith has a Master of Arts in Religion from Illiff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado and  Master of Arts in Philosophy in Classical Hebrew from Cambridge University in England.  She is proficient in the three Biblical languages, Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic; Galen has read the entire Bible in its original languages; and reads the Bible Lessons without any translation!  In addition to getting these degrees she has served as a Christian Science nurse and is now devoting full time to prayer and study.  She is class instructed and a member of The Mother Church and of the Cambridge branch church.
