How
to Change Your Internet Home Page
Your internet
home page is the page your internet browser is set to so that
it is the FIRST page which appears on your screen when you start
up your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Foxfire,
Safari for example).
USING
INTERNET EXPLORER (WINDOWS)
- Open Internet
Explorer
- Go to
the Web page you want to make your home page. (for example http://www.csmonitor.com,
http://www.spirituality.com,
http://www.csdirectory.com)
- On the
Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- In the
Internet Options box, on the General tab. The home page location
should be displaying the web address of the page you are on.
- Click
the Use Current button.
- Click
OK.
USING
MOZILLA FIREFOX (WINDOWS)
- Open Mozilla
Firefox
- Go to
the Web page you want to make your home page.(for example http://www.csmonitor.com,
http://www.spirituality.com,
http://www.csdirectory.com)
- Click
on TOOLS on the menu bar at the top of the Firefox screen, then
click on OPTIONS
- The home
page location should be displaying the web address of the page
you are on.
- Click
the Use Current Page button.
- Click
OK.
USING
MOZILLA FIREFOX (MAC)
- Open Mozilla
Firefox
- Go to
the Web page you want to make your home page. (for example http://www.csmonitor.com,
http://www.spirituality.com,
http://www.csdirectory.com)
- In the
menu bar at the top of the screen click on "Firefox",
a menu will display. Select "Preferences". A Preferences
box will pop up.
- The home
page location should be displaying the web address of the page
you are on.
- Click
the Use Current Page button.
- Click
OK.
USING
SAFARI (MAC)
- Open Safari
- Go to
the Web page you want to make your home page. (for example http://www.csmonitor.com,
http://www.spirituality.com,
http://www.csdirectory.com)
- In the
menu bar at the top of the screen click on "Safari",
a menu will display. Select "Preferences". A Preferences
box will pop up.
- In the
Preferences box, select the "General" icon at the
top of the box.
- Be sure
the second item in the box says "New window open with:
Home Page".
- Click
"Set to Current Page". The home page then should display
the web address of the page you are on.
- Close
out of the Preferences box.
