Adventure Unlimited's Purpose

"Proceeding from the acknowledgment that life is a spiritual adventure, Adventure Unlimited is organized to provide appealing, inspiring, and stimulating educational, social, recreational, and service activities for Christian Scientists and their friends in an atmosphere conducive to the recognition of the practicality and effectiveness of Christian Science."

A NOTE FROM THE RANCHES - Spring 2004

For almost 50 years now programs at the A/U Ranches have been "opening windows to show us God." Right now for this coming summer we are working on putting together exciting program activity schedules, preparing the log cabins, hiring an awesome staff, and doing all the bits to get ready to see those windows opened again. Our hope is that you will be here to join us!

Programs this summer will include our mountaineering programs in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness, rafting and kayaking on the Arkansas river, horse pack trips along high mountain pastures, fly fishing in the creeks, canoeing in the evening stillness of Turquoise Lake, soccer on the perfect grass of the athletic field, art & photo workshops, and both road and mountain biking on some pretty amazing routes.

Staff this summer will include Deb Eastwood and Rusty Rhode returning to Sky Valley as Camp Directors, and Alison Peticolas and Ryan Wallace camp directing at Round Up. The majority of last year's staff will be returning to the programs as well, but in addition weíll also have an exciting crew of new staff for you to get to know.

One significant addition you will want to know about is the new outdoor rock climbing pillar that is being built near Round Up. It's about 32 feet high, looks and feels like real rock, has a bouldering area near it, and will offer 12 routes from 5.4 to 5.11+ on a faux granite surface. It's called "Ralyne's Rock" and is pretty amazing.

There really is no better place to adventure, grow, give your love, and be loved than right here at the Ranches. Come and join us this summer and open windows to God in your life.
